Together we can end youth unemployment in Sheffield.
What is Ascend?
-
A one-to-one consultation to help you identify some short-term business goals and define a new role for an Ascender to help you achieve them.
A number of Ascenders (defined by you) for a 2-week unpaid work placement.
The option to then hire the Ascender/s for up to six months, part-time (we recommend 15-32 hours per week) on minimum wage, while they also participate in fortnightly training, mentoring and ongoing support from Together for Sheffield to help them thrive in their role with your organisation.
The opportunity to invest in a young adult near the beginning of their career journey.
-
At least two weeks of work experience relevant to your goals - with the chance to try more placements if you’d like - plus support with job interviews.
Your own career mentor who will help you reflect on your journey and figure out the next steps.
Hands-on group training sessions, which take place twice a month, where you can meet other Ascenders.
